Cache Table is used to hold data cache which may be cleared independently by of the Memory Manager. The data held by these cache tables will not by default release elements that are referenced.

Returns true if this map contains a mapping for the specified key.

Parameters:

key - key whose presence in this Map is to be tested.

Returns:

true if this map contains a mapping for the specified key.

remove

Removes the mapping for this key from this map if present.

Parameters:

key - key whose mapping is to be removed from the map.

Returns:

previous value associated with specified key, or null if there was no mapping for key. A null return can also indicate that the map previously associated null with the specified key.

get

Retrieve the data for the key. Only check the weak table if it contains keys that are not in hard map table. We do this because weak references are slow on Solaris as of 2.8

Parameters:

key - The key to get.

Returns:

The object if found.

find

                                    throws java.lang.Exception

a short hand method for getting an object and if that object is a NotFoundException re-throwing the exception.

Parameters:

key - The key to find.

put

Puts data into the cache table. Common data is replaced to save memory

Parameters:

orginal - The object to put into the table.

key - The key to be used.

Returns:

the object that has been replaced.
