default settings for pruning

setKeepBackTo

public void setKeepBackTo(int field,

specify how far back to keep records e.g. to keep the most recent 2 months of data pass (Calendar.MONTH, 2)

Parameters:

field - e.g. Calendar.MONTH

amount - e.g. 1

setRemoveOlderThan

public void setRemoveOlderThan(int field,
                               int amount)

specify how far back to keep records e.g. to remove data older than 6 months pass (Calendar.MONTH, 6)

Parameters:

field - e.g. Calendar.MONTH

amount - e.g. 6

setPruneLevel

public void setPruneLevel(int periodField,
                          int periodAmount,
                          int severityField,
                          int severityAmount)

specify how much to prune for a period (can be called multiple times) If none specified, default settings will apply

Parameters:

periodField - e.g. Calendar.MONTH

periodAmount - e.g. 3

severityField - e.g. Calendar.MINUTE

severityAmount - e.g. 1 (only MINUTE support at present)
